Following regenerative renovation (optimization of resources, waste management, preservation of biodiversity…), the Carlton Cannes now runs 100% on green electricity.
This energy – from renewable sources such as solar, wind and hydraulic power – makes it one of the pioneering establishments in its sector. In the kitchens, Executive Chef Laurent Bunel and his teams give priority to short circuit suppliers and organic produce to support the local economy and reduce the environmental footprint. Thanks to the “Meeting for Good” programme, the hotel’s events also pursue a responsible approach with each reception designed to limit its ecological impact, from sustainable menus to bio-waste management and the elimination of single-use plastic. “Each decision is made while taking our carbon footprint into account to protect our planet while offering guests an authentic, eco-responsible experience,” explains Pierre-Louis-Renou, General Manager of the Carlton Cannes.
This positive approach has just been rewarded by the prestigious “Green Key” label. In addition to the environment, La Grande Dame also stands out for her social commitment. The “Restons Humains 06” association, created at the employees’ initiative, undertakes actions of solidarity to assist the neediest by means of collections and generous donations. At the Carlton Cannes, excellence rhymes with social and environmental awareness.
