Backed by know-how attained over 35 years, Pain de Sucre passionately creates women's collections of swimwear and high-end lingerie. Celebrating the "Art of living on the beach", this French brand unveils an extensive seaside wardrobe each year embellishing all silhouettes, and always seeing the swimsuit as a fashion accessory in its own right, an invitation to travel…
It was in Marseille, a city facing the sea, that Pain de Sucre came into being in 1985, a firm dedicated 100% to the design of high-end women's swimwear. Self-taught and avant-garde in their approach to designing seafront clothing, Christian Keusseyan and Bernard Evans soon came up with their concept of the swimsuit. From a family of tailors/couturiers driven by a passion for their work, they inherited experience of made-to-measure and the craftsman's know-how. Both the bikini and the one-piece swimsuit became star features of women's wardrobes, then borrowing the codes of ready-to-wear. Represented by over 650 multibrand retailers worldwide, Pain de Sucre now has about 30 boutiques/corners presenting its label: in St-Barths, Knokke, Geneva, Monaco, Paris, Cannes, Saint-Tropez... Many wonderful tales to be shared...
